San Jose, California, September 7, 2007 - ProPlus Design Solutions, Inc. has officially become a member of the Compact Model Council (CMC), which was formed in August, 1996, for the purpose of promoting standardization in the use and implementation of Compact models. CMC attracted more than 40 big names from world-wide semiconductor manufacturing, fabless IC Design and EDA industries, and its standardization efforts in past ten years resulted in the success of BSIM3, BSIM4, BSIMSOI, and PSP, etc which directly contributed to the success in IC design of the industry. ProPlus brings to CMC with the experience and expertise of its best-in-class modeling products/services with 15 years track records in the industry, and its BSIMProPlus/NoisePro product-lines have been widely adopted and used by many leading-edge foundry, IDM and fables companies, since the BTA/Celestry age, through most recent Cadence time, and till now in ProPlus. Moving forward, ProPlus keeps close partnerships with many EDA companies such as Cadence on the compact model development and maintenance, and also works closely with many CMC members including model developers and model end users.
