BSIMProPlus Complete Modeling Solutions for the High-voltage Device Applications

San Jose, California, July 31, 2008 - ProPlus Design Solutions, Inc. announced its official release of HiSIM_HV v1.0.1 model extraction flow in the BSIMProPlus v2008.2, Hotfix 1.10, in June 2008. With this new model option, the BSIMProPlus extraction tool now offers the most complete advanced high-voltage device modeling solutions which include not only the macro modeling approach but also the compact modeling approaches supporting Cadence proprietary models HVMOS (Level 101) & LDMOS, Synopsys proprietary model Level 66, and public-domain model HiSIM_HV.

High-voltage devices are widely used in many applications e.g. LCD and plasma display drivers, automotive electronics, flash memory, power management and consumer electronic products. HiSIM_HV model, developed by Hiroshima University and STARC (Semiconductor Technology Academic Research Center) in Japan, is the only final candidate for the CMC (Compact Model Council) recommended surface-potential high-voltage device model standard. HiSIM_HV model, which is designed for both symmetrical HVMOS and asymmetrical LDMOS device architectures by the model developers, is attracting more and more attentions from the IC industry.
